When it comes to feeling good, art is one of those things that really speaks to everybody. It’s enjoyed by many because it has the ability to help your mind escape into a different world. On my forever pursuit of happiness and good vibes, I love exploring beautiful places, and when you’re in LA, one place you have to visit is Hauser & Wirth! This is a cool art gallery located in the Arts District, and I’m so glad I went because my whole experience was amazing. As soon as you walk in there’s a very clean and fresh feel. From the side that I entered, there was the first art gallery to the left. I opened the door, walked in, and the room is filled with a very easy going vibe. There’s friendly staff and great lighting shows off all the one of a kind art on display. With each piece being so interesting and unique, I loved walking by and creating my own conclusion for what each piece of art meant. Once you have finished looking at the art in the first room, there’s still more to explore! I walked all the way toward the back to view the second gallery area. As you stroll through once again there is more amazing art on display and friendly staff, and as you walk along the spacious area you just get lost in all the one of a kind beauty. I continued going through the gallery and I walked into the area displaying ‘Paul McCarthy. WS Spinoffs, Wood statues, Brown Rothkos exhibition. Paul McCarthy made these statues to be ‘spinoffs’ of White Snow. These really cool pieces showed a modern interpretation of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.’ It was definitely a sight to see. I was instantly amazed by the overall beauty and I wish the pictures I took could really capture the greatness of it all. The big statues were fascinating and I really loved the detail of the swirls and the various rich brown colors in each wood piece. As I walked around and looked at each statue, each piece had very cool and interesting aspects to see. Each statue works together to help you vision the story and have it come to life right before your eyes and it was wonderful to see. Once you get done looking at all the art, you’re going to love the atmosphere so much that you won’t want to leave (believe me, because that’s exactly how I felt), so make sure to make a stop by the restaurant! It was a pretty hot day and I wasn’t really hungry so I didn’t get any food, but I was definitely in the mood for a cold drink. They served me a perfectly ice cold glass of IPA beer! This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, so I took my IPA and happily sat at the outside bar area. As I was drinking my beer (which was delish by the way), I couldn’t help but to once again look at everything and take it all in. It was all so beautiful, nice and clean. The wonderful restaurant decor matches the cool artsy vibe of the gallery and is a pleasant place to just enjoy the moment. After my beer I took a stroll down to the Public Garden. This is an area with lots of trees and plants. There is no roof over this part so it gives you a feeling of being indoors while also being outdoors and there are some nice benches where you can sit. On one side of the garden there is a big colorful mural on the brick wall of a tattooed woman praying. The art and graffiti give you a taste of exactly what the heart of LA is all about and it’s beautiful to see that Hauser & Wirth appreciates and celebrates all forms of art. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the fact that they have a cute little barn area with chickens! On your way out don’t forget to stop by and explore everything else they have to offer, especially the awesome little shop! Lots of cool stuff you can buy to be the cherry on top of your visit. This was such a positive experience for me and if you haven’t been yet, I know it will be for you too. Free entry, the people were friendly, the art was really cool, and the overall vibe was great! I love how I was able to just stroll through the entire place and really feel relaxed and refreshed while getting to admire all the artistry. There was nothing but great vibes here and I can’t wait to go back again! CLICK HERE for all the info on Hauser & Wirth so you can plan for your visit! Enjoy! 🙂
